What is a Design Deposit?
The Design Deposit represents a 15% down payment of the preliminary bid and will be credited toward the total project. This payment is not an additional fee but serves as a commitment from the client to move forward with the project. No further revisions, detailed drawings, or measurements will be provided until this payment is received.
Why is there a Design Deposit?
To ensure the seriousness of the project and to facilitate the commencement of revisions and other project-related tasks, a Design Deposit is required for any project revisions beyond the preliminary bid.
What is included with the Design Deposit?
1. High priority status – We can immediately and fully dedicate our time and resources to your project.
2. Full set of high-quality 2D and 3D drawings – Visually detailed renderings that reflect the finalized design.
3. Includes 2 revisions – Revision 1 and 2 are included, subsequently a $250 fee will be added to the job total for each revision.
4. Full set of field measurements – Precise on-site measurements to ensure perfect cabinetry fit.
5. Trades conflicts assessment – Identification and resolution of potential conflicts with other trades (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC).
6. Appliance Model Number Tracking – We will track all appliance model numbers provided by the client to ensure precise measurements and proper fit within the cabinetry design.
7. Detailed material specifications – Clear documentation of all materials to be used, including wood types, finishes, and hardware.
8. Custom door and drawer profile options – Design of custom door and drawer styles to enhance the overall look.

10. Full project scope review – Comprehensive review of all work to be performed, ensuring alignment with the client's vision.

Payment Structure
• All jobs require 15% Design Deposit
• Jobs >$10k require 65% down, 35% due at the time of installation
• Jobs <$10k, change orders, remodels, and homeowners require 100% down
How to proceed with Design Deposit?
If you would like to proceed with the revisions process, you may simply purchase enough of this item to meet 15% of the preliminary bid we sent you. You can also request an invoice via email or send a check with 15% of the preliminary estimate. We also accept bank transfers, credit cards, PayPal and various other forms of secure payment.

Contractor Discount: Contractors can email their plans and contact details to Tyler@beckscustomcarpentry.com.
Homeowners: We recommend using a qualified contractor for your project—contact us for suggestions. Typical cabinetry costs (designed, assembled, finished, delivered, and installed) are ~$400/linear foot. The exact price depends on your specific design.
By submitting payment, the client agrees to all terms, drawings, and specifications. Any changes will require a separate, paid change order and potential project delays. Payments are non-refundable. Production starts immediately after receipt of payment.

Paint, Stain & Touchup: Included. One touchup round is included. Additional touchups are billed as non-warranty callouts and scheduled based on crew availability.
Adjustments after Paint: Includes one round of door adjustments
Toe Trim on Finished Floors: Excluded, can provide upon request.
Cabinet Delivery & Installation: Included in most cases. Delivery is contingent on the client resolving trade conflicts before the delivery date. If conflicts arise at delivery, then installation will be rescheduled.
The paint price includes one color. Additional colors are $500 each. Pricing is for SATIN FINISH ONLY; semi-gloss adds 10%, and gloss adds 25% to the paint price due to extra labor and materials. Minor surface texture variations, small dust particles in non-visible areas, color variations due to lighting, subtle brush marks on hand-painted areas and slight finish variations between components or wood grains, paint thinning on high-contact areas, minor overspray in hidden spots, slight sheen differences between surfaces, and hairline cracks in joints are expected, normal, acceptable, and not considered defects.
Revisions beyond the first two will incur an additional charge of $250 each.

- Jobs >$10k; 65% down and 35% due within 72 hours of installation completion, defined as cabinets are affixed to walls and the final invoice is sent. Any defects, touch-ups, or repairs will be remedied after final payment.

Beck’s Custom Carpentry warrants the original purchaser for a period of 12 months from the date of installation, that all custom cabinets will be constructed and installed per the approved contract. Damage from misuse, abuse, accidents, normal wear and tear, aging, fading, discoloration due to sunlight exposure, improper storage, humidity, temperature, water, third-party accidents, modifications, or improper maintenance is excluded. Warranty service calls are provided free of charge within the 12-month warranty period, subject to the conditions outlined above. Non-warranty service calls will incur a minimum charge of $250 and $50 per hour thereafter.
ETAs provided by Beck’s Custom Carpentry are non-binding estimates based on current production timelines and resources. They are subject to change and do not guarantee completion or delivery dates. Beck’s Custom Carpentry will provide periodic updates via Trello, and clients can request access to view them.
Beck’s Custom Carpentry reserves the right to file a mechanic’s lien if payments are not made per the contract schedule.
Beck’s Custom Carpentry retains ownership of all cabinetry until full payment is received; The client acknowledges they have no ownership rights of the cabinetry, regardless of installation status, until the final payment is made, and they may be repossessed to secure the final payment.
This contract represents the complete agreement between Beck’s Custom Carpentry and the client. If any part of this contract is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.
